He quit smoking pot to run for President

What would you think of a candidate that is running for President when he was asked if has ever smoked pot answers with “I quit smoking pot six months ago to run for President”.   He mentions in passing that he has not drunk alcohol in 25 years and that he is a little bit of a health nut and athlete.

Athlete?  He has climbed the seven highest mountains in the world.  Not too bad.

Experience, two time Republican Governor of the democratic state of New Mexico where he did a great job and was elected by a landslide the second term.

Compare Gary’s candor with Trump saying he has never said he is sorry and has never asked for forgiveness.

I used to like Johnson. Then I got a smart TV. I go to youtube, Maher is entertaining.
Recently [July 1] Johnson appeared on Maher, claimed he had “edibles” about 8 weeks, beginning [7:06 minute mark].

Curious if you’ve ever smoked pot? Personally, I had around 15 years of insobriety. If I may make a distinction between “high” and “stoned”. I did the “high” version. To regularly get “stoned”, well, I’m cheaper than that.

Now watch the interaction, same day, during Bill Maher’s “overtime” Gary Johnson…his response to a question starting around 4:26, [Johnson indicates the question goes over his head] … you’ll wonder if Johnson’s last “smoke” was 6 months ago, or if he was stoned at the time.

I think he was refusing to be baited by the question & it didn’t really go over his head.
The reality is industry responds to demand so if we demand “greener” products industry will lean into green. We do see it happening right now whether it’s happened before or not, we see lots of chemical corporations opting for far less toxic manufacturing processes whenever they can find a reasonable way to do so because it saves them money & gets them esteem that translates to market share.
